MUSIC & POETRY
AND
BOOK CLUB
Music & Poetry.
The Music and Poetry group meet on the 3rd Friday of each month. we meet in the Church Foyer from 7.30pm until 9pm.
Our numbers vary meeting by meeting and vary in number from seven to about twelve. Usually we each bring along a poem we like and a CD of music we enjoy. Tastes vary considerably with poetry by Pam Ayres and John Betjeman to Keats, Shakespeare and the rest including, at times, some we have written ourselves. The variation in musical taste is just as wide from the fairly heavy classics to boogie woogie.
Everyone is welcome, there is no charge or collection. All you need to bring is yourself and an enjoyment of poetry and music.
