BAPTISTERY
The new wrought iron panels for the Baptistery Handrail have been completed and installed. The design incorporates the tradional fish shape containing the name Jesus, two scallop shells representing pilgrimage and baptism and the suns rays signifying the glory of God. also included are the logos of both the Baptist Union of Great Britain and the Church of England,once more emphasizing our ecumenical commitment. The cross of St. Andrew is depicted on the gate.
The work was funded from a legacy left to the church by Emily Law and is dedicated to her memory, it was designed by George Papworth and made and fitted by New Age Fabrications Ltd. of Romford.
