Christian Aid 2011
Christian Aid Week Was May 15th to 21st.
SUNDAY 8th. MAY
We had our usual 'Fugal Lunch' after the morning service on Sunday the 8th. The idea of a Frugal Lunch is that members of the congregation stay and have a lunch of soup and bread together and then contribute to Christian Aid the amount they would usually have spent on their Sunday lunch
In this way £40.70 was raised.

There was also a Christian Aid Coffee Morning, held on Saturday May 14th once again this was well supported and £258 was added to the sum.

Church members also did a door to door collection. They enveloped and collected from 15 local roads. We are extreemly grateful to the folk who took on this rather daunting task. Not everyone is welcoming to people collecting in fact some people can be quite abusive and rude. But our gallent colectors did their best and £470.70 plus was collected.
So once again St. Andrews rose to the challenge and through the efforts of our congregation and the generousity of the donors the grand sum of £769.40 was raised and sent to Christian Aid.
